About MEPA
Introduction
To integrate teaching and researching resources within various departments in the campus, and in accordance with higher recurrent education policy of Ministry of Education, the Master for Eminent Public Administrators (MEPA) program was established in 1999 to cultivate modern administrative talents. Since 2017, MEPA has cooperated with the Ministry of National Defense, and offer s the National Defense Program and Leadership with Decision Making Program, founding channels of on-the-job training for active duty soldiers, strengthening communication between militar y officers and civil servants, and cultivating military talent with education and experience.
Learning Outcomes
Considering the developmental needs of the state and society as well as trends of interdisciplinary methods across academic fields, the Master for Eminent Public Administration (MEPA) program was established to cultivate modern administrative talents with education and experience in the public or private sector.
Degree Requirements
1.Since 2019 academic year, to acquire Master for Eminent Public Administration, students are required to complete thirty-three (33) hours of coursework, and successfully defend a thesis.
2.Each course of MEPA is three (3) credit hours. All students must be enrolled in at least one course each semester to maintain student status, and no more than three courses. Those who have already taken the required numbers of courses (thirty-three hours) are exempted from this rule.
3. The program is designed to be completed in two (2) years with a maximum study time of five (5) years. Students may withdraw from the program for up to two (2) years before completing their degree.
4. Guidelines for Credit Transfer
(1) Degree program students can transfer up to nine (9) credits counted towards their MEPA degree. These courses must be credit courses of NCCU related to MEPA.
(2) Transferred credits must have been received with a score of eighty-five (85) points or above within the last five years. In addition, transferred credits need to be approved of by the MEPA Program Committee.
(3) Transferred credits is limited to one time for each student.
